February 28 was a historic day for Greece. The general strike represented the biggest mobilization at least since the fall of the military junta, in 1974, if not in the history of the Greek state altogether. The results of the German federal elections held on 23 February 2025 confirm that the country's shift to the right can be halted. Neoliberalism enforces family responsibility with a cruel logic: a couple who can't afford rent without both their incomes are a couple who stick together.
